From order to chaos (or the other way around) but this time on corrugated cardboard

W34, H47 in

This series explores corrugated cardboard through its layers and channels. Bursts of spray paint into these channels, followed by carving into the material, allow images to take shape at different depths, incorporating variations in the paint and tears in the surface.

Continuing my work with OSB and polycarbonate, the material’s structure plays an active role in each piece. Its possibilities and limitations guide my decisions, while chance contributes to the outcome. Forms are built and fragmented through this relationship, at times merging with the underlying structure of the cardboard itself.

The artwork measures 34 × 47 inches, excluding the frame, and is presented with museum-quality, anti-reflective protective glass, allowing the texture and depth of the cardboard to remain clearly visible while helping protect its delicate surface.
